Help CBV name a new scent!
Candles By Victoria needs your help! We have created some wonderful house blends, but we just can't seem to find the "perfect" name for these wonderful creations. Submit your scent name and if your entry is picked you will receive $20 towards any Candles By Victoria candle purchase.
Winners will be contacted by email and their entry will be announced on our website and in our newsletter at the beginning of each month. One winner per month. All entries submitted become the property of Candles By Victoria.

blend starting with top notes of powdery peony
petals, romantic alyssum, jasmine, and fresh
strawberries. Bottom notes of lily of the valley,

Candles By Victoria's Name That Scent Contest was another great success, with over 600 name suggestions, it was exciting to see all the creativity everyone showed with their entries. Thank you to everyone that entered, we have so much fun reading through all the entries, and we are continually amazed at how creative you all are, keep those names coming, who knows you could be our next lucky winner!!
We decided this months scent combination, a fresh green clover, and ivy with middle notes of romantic snap dragon, rose petals, and carnations; ending with base notes of white musk and fig leaves, should have a name that really described everything that this wonderful fragrance encompassed, and this months winner did just that!
Now on to the winning name.... drum roll please.......

As you know we hand pour every candle here at CBV. As we are pouring we sometimes have scented wax left over from each batch that we pour, instead of wasting this wax we pour them up in 8 oz. no frills jelly jars and sell them here in the store. Our customers LOVE them, we can't keep enough on the shelves! Each 8 oz. candle can have as little as two or up to as many as 5 layers of a different scent. We do not mark them so they are a surprise to you as you burn them but with each layer you get to experience a different fragrance. You tell us the two fragrances you want us to mix and let us do the rest. We offer this Create A Scent candle to you in our most popular 16 oz. Country Jar style container. Have fun, be creative, who knows your next combination just might be our next most popular fragrance, and if it is, we will name it after you! We even let you pick the color! Our Decorative Cube candle is brand new to our line and absolutely gorgeous!! We take this beautiful thick glass container and fill it with our triple scented chunks of wax in the fragrance of your choice then over pour those chunks with a another layer of triple scented wax in the same fragrance. This two step process gives you one strong and very fragrant candle! At over 2 pounds and double wicked this candle will not only burn and smell amazing for over 200 hours but it is a beautiful candle to look at, and when your done with the candle you have a gorgeous container to enjoy! Candle Memory
|
When burning a candle for the first time, it's suggested that you burn it one hour for each inch in diameter. This will allow the pool of wax to extend to the outside edges and will prevent your candle from forming a "canyon" in the center. Burning a candle this way will also set it's memory. Each time you burn the candle it will "remember" to burn to it's edge.

The Notes! The ♥ of our Candles |
Did you know a typical fragrance contains 30 to more then 200 different ingredients in infinitely variable proportions? The key to an amazing fragrance is the perfect combination of Top Notes, Middle Notes, and Base Notes.
The Top Note: This is the first impression. It is the fragrance the customers notice when they unscrew the lid of our candles.
The Middle Note: This is the heart and soul of the fragrance. It's most pominet after the top-note recedes. The middle note is what you experience while the candle is burning.
The Base Note: This is the note with tenacity, the lingering scent in our candles. This is what you smell even after the candle is extingished.
