Yes, it is that time of year again, school is back in full swing for most of us, Fall and all the wonderful colors and smells that Fall brings is right around the corner. I love the Fall season so much, it is my favorite time of year. I love burning all the spicy, homey fragrances, from Pumpkin Pie Spice to Spiced Apple Pie, to Holiday Homebrew just to name a few. These fragrances take me back to my childhood and remind me of when life was simpler. When I smell Pumpkin Pie Spice it reminds me of my Grandmother, and how every year on my birthday she would bake me a Pumpkin Pie because that was my favorite pie ever. When I smell the warm notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, it reminds me of my Great Aunt Emma who's home was always so inviting and such a wonderful place to visit. When I burn candles with these fragrances in them I call them Memories in a jar, because they take me back, back to my childhood, back to my favorite memories, back to a simpler time. I hope when you burn a candle from Candles By Victoria, you are taken back to your favorite memories as well.
I am so excited to share that after 17 years of not living in the same state with my parents my Dad and Step Mom have moved to Texas and are living just 1.9 miles from me!! I can not tell you how happy this makes me. We are so excited to welcome them to Texas and to be able to share our lives together the way it should be. My Dad has already made his presence known around Van and has made sure to introduce himself to everyone as the father of the owner of Candles By Victoria. I think he thinks it will get him special treatment around town....LOL. Thank you to both of my girls, Melissa and Chelsea for working so hard to help get Grandma and Grandpa get settled into they're new home, you girls are the best and I love you both with all my heart!
