Hello Victoria! I hope that you and yours are well! I am the fanatic from Brooklyn who fell in love with your candles almost two years ago. I have been wanting to share a story with you for a while now. A few months after discovering your wonderful candles I found out that I was expecting twins. After the initial shock( I was not planning on becoming pregnant) I was so happy because I am a twin and I thought it was so cool. I had the worse morning sickness, which was more like 24 hour sickness ;-) I had to stop working and be on strict bed rest. My boyfriend and family were wonderful about keeping all of the candles lit for me. Believe it or not your candles were the only thing that soothed me. I never once barfed with the scent of the candles, when even brushing my teeth or washing my hair was a nightmare!

About Four month's into the pregnancy we received the devastating news that our older twin was not growing. She had stopped growing around my third month. We went to specialist in all the best hospitals in New York City. They all told us the same thing, there was no hope. We even contacted Doctors in Florida, Ohio and Texas Specializing in this specific problem that we were having. They were all so wonderful, they were nice enough to review all our tests. They even discussed our case, but they all concluded the same thing. Our oldest twin had selective growth syndrome. When this happens only one twin can grow normally while the other twin just stops growing. We were devastated. There was nothing we could do. Both of our babies were in trouble because if one died the other was in danger of dying as well. The doctors told us in order to save our younger twin we had to abort the other. I could not believe what I was hearing. I refused to even hear anymore and my boyfriend Cesar told me "don't worry we are not going to do that". We had so much faith but in the end we lost our baby. Her name was Angelina Marie. She died August 1st, 2007. I was five months pregnant. I got to keep her in my belly with her sister for five weeks. I went into pre-term labor on September 2nd and Elizabeth Christine was born on September 6th. Elizabeth was only six months and two pounds. I could not even believe that she was a real baby.

The doctors told me that they did not know how long she would be in the hospital or how many problems she would have. I was very strong and I said OK well I guess I'm moving in! Elizabeth spent three months in the hospital and we went through so many scary things with her. I hardly ever left her side. She had four blood transfusions and so many procedures. I don't think that I could have endured any of what my baby went through. She was so strong! She is and will always be my little hero!! The hospital was nice enough to keep Angelina in the morgue for me. I was just not ready to separate them yet. The day before Elizabeth was discharged I made arrangements for Angelina to be picked up. We had her buried in a beautiful part of a cemetery called the babies corner. All the babies are buried in a common grave. There is a beautiful angel statue holding babies in his wings in the center of six stone walls with all the babies names.

Elizabeth exceeded all expectations. she grew nice and chunky within a few weeks of being home. She has no problems at all! The doctors tell me that she is a miracle. I can't believe that she is a year old already. Time really does fly, especially when your happy. So Victoria the reason I shared my story with you is because the whole time I was going through it one of the only thing's that comforted me was your candles. I would light them and pray.

I don't know you personally but I needed you to know how important it was for me to have your candles through out the most difficult time of my life. Ok... I received my tarts. Thank you so much! I keep a tart warmer here at the office and put a new one in every morning, but I went ahead and through the melted tart out and put a Sophie Belle in and I just wanted to tell you that it is an awesome scent. I'm not just saying that because I named it! LOL .... I really love it! SOOO Unique. I couldn't wait to tell them about it at candlefind. It is sooo unusual!!

Well let me tell you NOW - Honeysuckle smells just like the REAL stuff growing on my fence....... and believe me, I know what it smells like, I've been eating it since I was a kid......

The Buttercream and Buttercream Crunch, along with Butterscotch Pecan Pie, Hot Chocolate/Cream with hint of Caramel, and Hot Chocolate Peppermint Splash, smell good enough to EAT.... and the Peach Ambrosia smells just like my Peach Cobbler. OH MAN my little sister is gonna try to eat that one with a spoon! LOL

Of course, Orange Clove is already on my favorites list.... as are all of the Orange-scents that I've been privileged to try.

I like the Crepe Myrtle pretty good, but it's on my "medium" list... as is Unwind, Violet Birch, Harvest and Enchanted Forest... these will probably attract people OPPOSITE me.. I'm more of a "Bakery" and "Clean" person... BUT --- Afternoon Breeze smells EXACTLY like an afternoon breeze should smell. I'm very impressed with it. Cottage Garden is another one that brings visions of what it SAYS to mind when you sniff it.

The Christmas scents that I got - Yuletide and Hollyberry - are more... "fancy" scents. I would use those if I were throwing a fancy dress party at Christmastime - but Let It Snow, I would use anytime!

What I'm trying to say - Victoria's candles are very expertly named. Someones nose KNOWS. LOL

If Victoria says to you, "This candle has cream, dark chocolate, a touch of vanilla and lots of cherry, we call it Chocolate Covered Cherries..." ----- then you'd better believe that it will SMELL like Chocolate Covered Cherries. The description you read is the candle you get when you order it. There's no misleading in her advertising.

You don't find that kind of honesty in advertising anymore, so when I do, I let everyone know about it.

P.S ~ I found, not one, but TWO people who just fell in LOVE with Enchanted Forest today. And I have NO MORE Cleo's Closet (even the guys at work love that one - they say that it smells like clean clothes) and I sold both my French Quarters to the same lady who took a Honeysuckle!

Hi Victoria......Well, I finally got the time to send you an email. It's been crazy here, so I'm sorry for the delay. Steve and I enjoyed our visit to your shop in Van so much. It was a hard decision to pick just a few scents out of all you have to offer, but I definitely have been delighted with the ones I bought. My favorite (and Steve's) is Citrus and Teakwood (Butt Naked?). I can see that I'm going to be purchasing that scent in a larger candle in the near future. My daughter flipped over Cleopatra's Closet. I like it too! So far, I've tried all of the candles I bought except for two and they all smell great. I've also enjoyed the scent shots. The Wildberry Scone is a strong fragrance that had my whole kitchen smelling nice in just a few short minutes. Right now I'm burning the Amish Quilt and it has a soothing aroma that I really enjoy. Look for me to place another order in the near future because there are a couple of candles that my daughter wants me to order for her.....which means, of course, that I'll have to order some for myself!!!! lol Thanks for the great visit and the great smelling candles.

I work at a residential care facility. It's an upscale one that caters to people with money. The call the facility building the Mansion and everything is top of the line. I work on the Reminiscence floor where residents who are memory impaired live. One of the main philosophies of this place is that things have to be as homelike as possible. Smells, sights, everything. It should never look like a nursing home.

This creates a problem on our floor because we can not burn candles, the residents tend to dump them or play with the flame. (they just don't remember what it's for) and for these residents smell is so important because they may not know the names of their family but they can remember what baking bread smells like, or they can associate the smell of baby powder with babies. All this to say that we have not been able to come up with a good solution to having candles. We have tried warmers but we have to put so many of them out that the residents find them and dump them, we have tried potpourri but had similar situations where they get dumped out or God forbid, the residents try to eat them.

Well, yesterday I took my berries and cream scent shot and one of my melters to work. I put the melter at the top of a large dresser at the end of the hall farthest from the main living area and hid it behind some pictures so the residents couldn't see the flame from the tealight. Within 20 minutes the scent had traveled the full length of the hall (about 50 feet) and was spilling over into the main living area. EVERYONE was in love with how good the wax smelled and were blown away with the amount of scent throw. It stayed strong and wonderful even after I blew out the candle so the wax could get hard for me to take it home. The coordinator for our floor is going to purchase some of Victoria's candles and we are going to hide them in candle warmers. Because the scent throw is so huge we do not have to place them every 5-10 feet and can utilize high places the residents can not get to. I am so excited about this as our lack of nice homey scents on our floor has been bothering me for a while.

OK, that was really long winded!! Sorry to go on and on I'm just really excited that Victoria has decided to do this and is having such a huge impact on so many people's lives.

I have to tell u something funny----I hope I am not being a pest sending u all these "E" mails.

My husband and I are both retired Miami Police Lt.'s. We both put in 25 years there---Dan put in at least 10 years as a fire arms instructor---When they finally decided that police officers needed automatic weapons--he trained all of us on the Glock.

Because of this---he has lost all sense of smell---Had to do with the gunpowder-----Sometimes of course this is a good thing----cause even though he can not smell anything good--he can't smell anything bad either LOL.

But he misses out on so much because of this-----he misses smelling things like fresh cut grass---things cooking in the oven etc. Tonight----I was going thru your list of scents again---for the hundredth time or so----and he came in and looked at the screen and I just happened to be on the bakery scents. He said--oh your looking at recipies--what are u going to make---I laughed and told him I was looking at candles---all he could say was WOW.

So tonight--I am walking around here---now have three of the new candles lit---ha ha---and I am walking around saying--OMG----it smells so great in here----and the poor guy just gives me a sad look and says---I can't smell a thing. Oh well---u could put his nose right in the candle and he can't smell it. God--if I ever lost my sense of smell---I could save all kinds of money on candles.

I made the mistake--last payday---of buying two YC ---only cause I wanted something Christmas smelling and these were on sale----I had bought the tarts first and the tarts were really great---but let me tell u-----the candles are not any near as strong as the tarts-----also by buying two candles I got the second one at 50 percent off and a freebie of a Christmas one--don't remember the name of it---but it smelled so bad that I ended up throwing it away when it was half burned.

Let me tell you---I will never buy another YC again. Anyways--thought u would get a kick out of my husband mistaking your scents for recipies.

WOW!!!! I received my candles today, packaging was wonderful. I appreciate the time and effort you put into that, nothing was broken. Okay, so I get them unwrapped. I smell each one of them as I unwrap them, thinking the next one could not smell near as good as the last one, WRONG! I lit the Angel Food Cake as that was one my husband really thought sounded like it would smell good. Gotta tell you, Victoria, it is has been a while since he walked into the house and said "now that candle smells good!" I want to just mention something about your Vic's Secret Heavenly candle. I normally don't "do" floral or perfumy candles. I wore this scent on my wedding day a few years ago and I thought, why not, I'll get the candle. When I opened the candle last night I have to admit I was a little scared because it smelled very musky on cold smell, not what I remember the fragrance to smell like. I lit it up in my bedroom literally a half an hour ago, went up there just now and the most beautiful sweet, floral, feminine fragrance hit me. WOW! Dead on. That strong musk smell that I smelled on cold smell, I can only detect in the background, it's very light, and it is just beautiful. I am in love with it, brings back so many wonderful memories of my wedding day and honeymoon and I want to thank you!!!!!!! It's so strong and just wonderful, as are all your candles I've tried.

I'm just writing to let you know that I'm a return customer, I did receive the candles, and as always, I love them all and my mom and I will probably order again when you have your next sale! I just wanted to say that I know that you mentioned that you switched from using the USPS to UPS, delivery was much, much slower - it took about 1 1/2 weeks for the candles to arrive. I wasn't in any hurry, I just wanted to mention that the delivery time was definitely not as fast. For as wonderful as your candles are, it was certainly worth the wait!
I just love my small "Cinnamon Crumb Crunch" 8 oz candle, does this come in a larger size?

I was wondering if you had a peanut butter/banana scent combo. My mother is a die-hard fan of this scent and I would just LOVE to give her one of your candles as a gift. We have tried this fragrance before from another vendor, she fell in love with the scent but, quite frankly, I would rather purchase it from you (I have some personal favorites I plan to get as well, LOL) Please let me know if you have something like this in stock or if you could possibly come up with something??????

I just also wanted to let you know that a while ago I had emailed you about a pink sugar fragrance...you mentioned you had to get the oil as it was not on your scent list..let me tell you, it is unbelievable. Since I received your Pink Sugar anoher vendor send me a sample candle of their pink sugar and your's is, by far, the winner...what a delicious, sweet, feminine lovely, lovely candle scent. I know it's a popular fragrance but yours is truly awesome and it literally fills the entire first floor of my home, as do your other candle scents.

Wonderful candles!!!! I LOVE that they smell just as you describe them! I see that you can order the No Frills candles by the case. When I click it takes me to a blank page. I thought I might do this, give them away to some of my best customers, family and friends to get them just as addicted as I am then start buying wholesale. These are the truest to description I've found! It's funny because I stumbled across your website while I was looking for a lemon scented candle. I just received one of your candles. It is so fragrant. I have a small living room and I usually light 2 to 3 candles just so I can smell the fragrance. I only bought one of your candles and I cannot believe that the fragrance filled the whole room. I am amazed. I will definitely be ordering more candles. I will be telling my friends. First I would like to say the customer service is phenomenal! I have bought alot of candles and the Candles by Victoria are by far the best that I have tried. A few weeks ago, I lit the peanut butter cookie candle in my kitchen. After dinner, my husband asked me to bring him some cookies and milk. I told him that there were no cookies - that it was a candle. He was very dissappointed. I felt bad, so I ended up going out the next day and buying stuff to make him real cookies!!!

Hello, I recently purchased some tarts & I became addicted to having such a wonderful scent throughout the house. I don't think I have ever had a candle that threw such a great scent. I just wanted to write back and tell you that I absolutely love the candles I received! For a first-time customer like myself, the No-Frills Sampler Pack was a wonderful introduction to your line. The hardest part was deciding which one to light first! All of the candles have burned clean and even, and your scents are amazing. Orange Cranberry Muffin is a fantastic daytime scent for fall... tart, but slightly sweet. Dutch Apple Crunch is good enough to eat. Black Cherry Crumble is devilishly playful. Pumpkin Vanilla---well... any of your customers who hasn't tried this one yet, positively needs to!

I thought you would love to know this tidbit of information. I order a votive candle as a tester from a Texas company named “Circle E” in their vanilla. It does not come anywhere close to yours. As a matter of fact it barely smells at all and they advertise heavy scent. Right…..

Do you have 'anything' available in print? Also, I don't see that you offer any of the tarts on your wholesale site. I would have to order a lot of tarts to fill a $1000 order. I am so incredible happy with my purchase! THANK YOU! Wow! Wow! Wow! I cannot believe what I am smelling! Within one minute of lighting my Biscotti candle I can smell it. Within 5 minutes, my whole master bedroom (rather large) is scented. In 20 minutes my whole second floor (about 1300 square feet) is saturated with the wonderful smell of biscotti. I am in candle heaven! I never thought I'd find a candle as good as Yankee but Candles by Victoria out runs the competition by millions of miles! I learned about CBV from Candlefind. Like Christina, I drolled and spent hours making my decision of what to get. I placed an order but my husband wanted to choose the scents so he could give these to me as a gift. Victoria nicely cancelled the order. When I gave my husband the printout (28 pages) of the scent descriptions, he gave up and let me decide. I again placed an order. I received the order very quickly. They arrived in perfect condition. The jars and lables are just so homey and beautiful!
The website has a homey feel to it as well. I felt very comfortable going from page to page. Not only is it a commerical site, but it also has tons and tons of very useful information about candles - imagine a college course dedicated to candles.

I have to say that even though they claim to be "The World's Finest", I think your candles are equal to or better than theirs. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your fine candles. They are the best that I have ever used and I have used many brands since I consider myself a "candle nut." I am impressed with the quality and the quick delivery. I also like the fact that you are a small business owner and not associated with a large corporation.

Several years ago my cousin tried selling the Candlelite ( I think that was the spelling) brand of candles at home parties. I really couldn't see what the attraction was in these candles. She didn't stay with them for long. As far as I was concerned, they seemed to be a low-quality product with an extremely high price tag, especially for their accessory products. They "didn't hold a candle" (ha, ha, just a little humor there) to your fine candles.

For my second order I was fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of your latest sale on May 1st. I missed the previous sale because I didn't use my computer for a few days during the time that sale was active. I was very happy to see that you had an even larger discount for the May 1st sale.

I think your website is adorable. I love the country look of it. My kitchen is decorated in a similar fashion. I am using one of the wallpapers you offered for my computer too. I always appreciate it when I am told that I am doing a good job, so I thought you would like to know what a good job I think you are doing with your company.

I have tried your candles and I love them!! The scent is great, the burn was great! I would like to buy these wholesale and resell them at my booth!

I was with Affordable Luxuries, a direct selling company similar to Party Lite. I had just opened the booth when they closed down and went bankrupt. It left me in a lurch with supplying candles. They made Soy candles, which a lot of people like. Over the last month I've been looking for other candles to sell. I've bought candles and tested them and yours were the best!! I bought a sampler pack and the first one I burnt was the Cinnamon Buns! Oh my goodness! Like you said on your website, Paraffin Wax can be clener if used correctly in the formula used. Your candles burn just as well as some of the soy candles I've been testing but yours outdoes them all in the fragrance dept. and the fragrances available. I have so many asking for different scents.

Actually, I started 'surfing' earlier this evening for handmade quilts, as I am planning to redo my master bedroom. Through Goose Tracks Quilts link page, I found your site, and forgot all about the quilts! Being a 'candle-enjoyer', certainly not a maker, it was genuinely nice to come across such an extraordinary domain, incredibly full of so many remarkable things ... the tremendous number of scents you offer, the pleasant design of the site itself, and most importantly, the obvious passion you have for your work and the dedication you have for customer satisfaction. I just wanted to let you know that the candles arrived today -- I am soooo happy!! They smell great! The cedar/vanilla turned out perfect -- I love that scent. We have a condo in Puerto Vallarta, and are going down in about 2 weeks, so I'm trying to be good and saving them to take with us. But, I'm burning the Cherry/Almond right now and it smells so good. It is so nice to burn a candle and it scents the whole upstairs.

I can assure you that I will be back for more and more. And, will tell all my friends about these great candles. If you can ever come up with a Margarita scent, let me know as that is the scent I'm on the lookout for now. I recently received the Philosophy Senorita Margarita shower gel and have fallen in love with it. So, if you have something in that neighborhood, just let me know. I just wanted to say that I ordered some of your candles and to be honest I was kinda worried that I was waisting my money. But then I received the candles! WOW!!! I could not believe it! Your candles have to be the best candles. I am a candle lover and your candles are at the top of my list for quality. They smell so good! I recieved the candles yesterday around noon, and they we're amazing! Also, I would like to know if you might add tarts to your wholesale list? I think it would be great to buy the tarts in bulk and put the different scents in seperate apothecary jars so that my customers could mix their scent selections and buy as many or few as they would like. Please send information for wholesale buying. My sample packs created quite a stir. I put them out with a survey sheet and let customers vote for their favorite. It was very interesting to listen to their comments. Fun for all! I burned one at the register, and I must admit, it was amazing to everyone, especially me, how evenly it burned and how the scent carried throughout the shop.

In July, I contacted you to ask if you made gift baskets. I wanted something special to give my best friend for her wedding. Although you told me that you don't make gift baskets, I decided to choose a fragrance that would help her remember her special day. I chose Tahitian Passion (my friend was going to Tahiti on her honeymoon!!). She just called me to tell me that the scent was AMAZING and that even when it wasn't lit, she still smelled it when she walked in the room. She also commented that candle Y (you know which one) did not do the same. Also, I purchased Chocolate Mint for my daughter, and was able to smell it in my bedroom (which is in back of the house). I received my first candles in July. Right now I am using "Baby's Breath". It is the most calming, beautiful smell I've ever had from a candle. I have it in our bedroom on my dresser, and after a few minutes of burn time, the whole house is filled with this wonderful fragrance. I cannot believe the intesity of the fragrance. I used to be a firm believer in Y***** Candle, but I've changed my mind! I have to add that even though the fragrance goes throughout the house, the room where the candle is doesn't get over fragranced. I'm delighted with your candles!

My house smelled wonderful before I even lit any of them. And the scent after I did light the candles - AWESOME!!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for doing these candles. They're not only lovely, they SMELL DEVINE! I had them sitting on my kitchen counter for a couple days and every time I'd go out there, I'd get such a craving for gingerbread. I just now started burning the Chocolate Fudge Cinnamon Sugar Cookie Surprise and I'm about drooling! LOL! :)

I decided to sign on your website today and see what scents were offered that interest me. I must admit there are A LOT that I would love to smell. I just wanted to let you know that last week I ordered 2 sample packs of those 8oz candles. I chose my own flavors, as I call them, and planned on putting them in my family's stockings for Christmas. The candles didn't make it out of work. I've promised to light a different scent each day I'm in the office. So I'm going to become a regular customer of yours. I have to say that I was going to the website of another candlemaker and was looking for a strawberry lemonade candle; it was the only candle I liked from this company. They have never have a great selection of flavors AND they only carry that flavor 3 months out of the year. When I found your website and opened your "scents" link-I nearly passed out--I found the monolith of candle scents---I had to print out the pages and go thru them one by one to pick out the perfect selection for each person in my family. They are the best candle I've ever smelled and my office agrees, so thank you and I look forward to perusing that list again very soon!

I am a first time customer. We spoke on the telephone before I placed this order and you told me to give you feedback after I had received and burned your candles. Well, that is the reason for this email. Some of the candles were gifts to add to my mom's Christmas basket so I have not had the pleasure of smelling the gardenia burning but it smells wonderful from the jar, and I am not usually fond of floral scents. I will be ordering one of these for myself after the holidays. I am enjoying the clothesline fresh candle as I type this email and I have the christmas tree burning upstairs and it smells wonderful. Since my children are grown (teens) now, I decided to purchase an artificial tree this year and use candles to achieve that wonderful Christmas tree smell. Well, your Christmas tree candle is filling the ticket quite nicely. I think I have a new favorite place to purchase candles. I am an addict and burn candles daily so you will be hearing from me soon.
